Johnny Park Indoor Parking Services and The Encounter Restaurant

The Encounter Restaurant is one of the most recognizable landmarks at LAX. Walt Disney Imagineering revamped the interior of the restaurant, making it look like the Jetson-like exterior. But, this exciting restaurant is not just for travelers anymore. There is plenty of LAX parking near the restaurant for both travelers and restaurant-goers.

Setting

The location of the Encounter Restaurant brings an unusual combination of people. Any attire is acceptable in this restaurant with multi-colored patterns on the carpet, lava lights, and moon-cratered walls. At the bar, there are guns that emit laser lights with sound effects when bartenders pour a drink. It is truly unlike any other restaurant. It is worth a trip to LAX parking just to see it.

Food

With such a great atmosphere, it may be expected that the food is just alright. This is not the case with The Encounter Restaurant. Executive Chef William Benett began his career as a chef early at the age of 13. Under his direction, the Duck Club restaurant won the “AAA Four Diamond” Award. Hours

The Encounter Restaurant is open Sunday through Tuesday from 11am to 9pm, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11am to 9:30pm. The bar closes at 10pm. You enter from the LAX parking lot at the arrivals level and pass the third signal where you will see the signage. Reservations can be made at 310-215-5151.

Parking

LAX parking can be frustrating at times, there is valet parking available for $6 at the entrance or there is a LAX parking lot just a short walk away. Patrons are not required to pass through airport screening to enter the restaurant – it is located outside the security area. Travelers may keep their luggage with them at their table.

Special Events

Encounter holds special events from small parties or up to 165 guests. Private events include music and dancing. And, you don’t have to worry about parking because there is a private LAX parking lot. For Spring 2006, Encounter will recognize the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) for their accomplishments. The building will be lit in an orange glow to recognize their 140th anniversary, along with other city skylines across the country.
